USA Today published a series of articles dealing with air emissions around schools which are located in the vicinity of chemical manufacturing facilities. This article can be found here.
Subsequent to this, the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality has issued a statement and has followed up with air quality tests near 7 schools listed in the USA Today article. The results of those tests indicate that there is no problem. This is, of course, what we expected because our air permitting process in Louisiana is very strict and we have one of the toughest air toxics laws in the United States.
