The Louisiana Foundation for Excellence in Science, Technology and Education (LaFESTE) is a 501(c)(3) organization that was founded in order to expand philanthropic activities that promote excellence in science, technology, and education by supporting education and research projects that enhance the economy of Louisiana. The foundation has a keen interest in matters that affect the economic viability of LCA and LCIA members, especially geopolitical issues as they relate to business supply chain integrity, workforce development and environmental initiatives.
LaFESTE administers ozone research and modeling studies for the Baton Rouge (regional) Ozone Task Force and is now providing administration for the Louisiana (statewide) Ozone Task Force, as well as communication and community outreach activities for Beneficial Environmental Projects (BEPs). One such project includes facilitation of services for the Baton Rouge Clean Air Coalition.
